EXPERIENCE IN ESCAPE ROOM

WHAT WAS A BIGGEST OVERREACTION BY A CUSTOMER THAT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ESCAPE ROOM

Escape room general concept is you and your team are locked in a room filled with clues and puzzles based on a hidden mystery enacting different characters in a real time environment and escape in time.

As we all know, an escape room is one of those places where a person can have fun and enjoy things in and around. Escape room is a place full of adventurous things and thrilling factors. These games are all about concentration and teamwork. Escape roomgames help in team building and need a lot of thinking, brainstorming and increases one’s ability of thinking. I am an employee who works in an escaperoom called the ‘ Breakout Escape Games ’ in Bangalore. I have been working here for the past two years and never had a customer reacting over the situations inside the room or about the room. This was the first time when I had this unforgettable experience of the escape room.

BREAKOUT ESCAPE ROOMS

Breakout is a place full of physical adventure games where all the contestants or team members are locked inside the room and they are given many patterns and puzzles to solve, and find clues which require teamwork and creativity of each individual person. Only 60 minutes are given to solve the puzzles and everyone has to get out in the given time. Each escape room has its own theme and has a unique story line which makes it different from the other room and also engages the players throughout the game. Escape rooms are the perfect place for friends to conduct get together, family outing, corporate team building activities and also for birthday parties. It is the perfect escape room experience destination for all age groups.

FAMILY EXPERIENCES IN BREAKOUT

This time a family visited this room and I was a live character in that room. There were totally 5 members in that family. Father, Mother, and two male children who were around 8-10 years and a 15-year-old daughter. They all were so excited and more involved in the game to solve it quickly. More than the parents the children were so energetic and it was the escape game called ‘Cabin in the wood’ story which they were playing. 

The plot was, there are many cabins and a group of contestants are locked in the cabin which is haunted too. In 60 minutes, the contestants have to solve puzzles and escape. I was playing the live character of a ghost who attacks the contestants if the puzzles are not solved. As the game began the family was not able to solve all the puzzles in the given time. It was my time to attack them. As I wore a creepy costume the children started screaming after looking at me. They were so frightened that I came out and consoled them. It was one of the funniest experiences I have ever had.   

Finally, I would like to conclude that in a horror themed or thriller themed escape room, some families are brave enough to face all the challenges and some families overreact as if everything is happening in reality. They forget that they are in a game which is only meant to be entertaining.
